As a marketeer I can recognize list_unsubscribe by a modified by. When the modified_by i adjusted after that, I no longer see the list-unsubscribes.

In some cases (bulk service mails, or when you have multiple opt-ins), we would like to keep the main opt-in on yes and set the commercial opt-in to no, with an optout reason.

Also for reporting purposes we would like to recognize list-unsubscribes to see where opt-outs are coming from.
